Heartstrings

Originally fleeing the Soviet Union, my grandparents (on both sides) passed through 10 countries as emigres to give their future family more opportunity in America. My parents were born along that journey and are immigrants themselves. This sacrifice my grandparents and parents made on the behalf of my sisters and me inspires and empowers me to honor their past and living memories. On a lighter note, my 2 older sisters are my role models and best friends, and I absolutely love being an uncle to my adorable nieces!

Fun Facts

Played college basketball in 2 countries at both Colby College (where my teammates and I made it onto ESPN for our bench celebration antics) and the University of Oxford. I previously spent almost four years living in London’s Borough of Hackney where I developed a love for London Fields, Broadway Market, El Ganso Cafe, Fightzone, and the community of the East End on the whole. Huge history, politics, and languages nerd who’s also a proud San Francisco sports fan. Lastly, I’m a massive Star Wars nut and Dave Filoni is probably my hero (IYKYK).
